... got home after a good drive this evening, and took the key out of the ignition, which switched the aux (eg radio) off but the engine kept running!!! :?

What kind of freak problem is that!!?? Engine switched off the third time i turned the key! :?

Not happy :(

Faulty iginition switch most likely. Unless your running a turbo timer on there. :roll:

Have you changed any bulbs lately?

I know on vauxhall's a short through a lamp can keep the engine running.

I would check that.
Should be a double filament not single.

It's definitely the correct bulb, but it didn't work first time as the push thread didn't seem to lock properly.... will be checking tomorrow!

Good chance that the +/- are not sitting quite true if you know what i mean
