Very interested in the gearbox please. Where are you based?

MicKPM

Nottingham just off J25 M1.

I'm sure you understand that as i've only just posted the ad i'd like to give things time to settle before I break if that's okay?

I know, cheeky mofo thing to say but i'd sooner the lot go if you get me.

No problem. I did read about both 'packages' and neither one mentioned the box so thought I'd get in early! I fully understand wanting to sell it as a lot though - it really looked like an interesting project and I hope someone else picks it up. Is it 3k all in for absolutely everything then? Sounds like a steal to me, but alas I have reached the maximum number of cars I am allowed (until I get new garaging built, which would also involve moving house )

MicKPM

£3.5k would see the lot purchased with the coilovers cos they're worth too much to give away. The service receipt alone is more than twice what i'm asking for them.

I'm gutted cos it's taken me years to find the car but my hand has been forced here as the house needs a new kitchen & bathroom... major bummer really but I think the car will find a good home.

You won't be able to get a new kitchen and bathroom for that - I'd hang on to it mate  Have you seen that book about dishes you can cook by wrapping stuff in foil and sticking it in your engine bay? So you can cook in a car but you can't drive a kitchen you know!

Actually being in the building trade you'd be suprised at just how much things don't cost and £1500 can buy a monster plus appliances if you know right people (like site managers) ;)

The shell won't get given away and i've got space to keep it but the main bits are deffo "D-U-N" for.

As for the box, Snowman on RSC has first dibs... Whaaat, he gives good head

LoL - Standard Turbines.... pshhhh

They're 18x9J OZ 4x4 Turbo rims... if you can find a set that are not on a Ford you're doing very well.

yeah i heard those wheels are nigh on impossible to get unless you've got a ford. still then they're hard to find.

MicKPM

Yeah the Escort Cossie boys love em but they're magnesium rims so bend very easily on our excellent road surfaces! £1700 buys you a set in todays market or you could buy Compomotive TH1/TH2's which look similar and cost about £600 less.

Congratulations Mick. Please direct the new owner to this site and ask him to keep us updated as I'm really interested following the progress on this car. Good luck with what's next.

The 19 hasn't gone... just the engine, box, ITBs etc... TBH I'm not sure what's gonna happen with the rest of the car just yet. I've got loads of F7P's so I might just bung one in for now and use it till I find a crank for a 2.0 B/E
