rattle at 5k

its been there for a while but i want rid now
a friend says it will be a baffle ? baffle where
its due for an mot so when it passes im going to fit a de cat will thjat solve the baffle rattle ?

Refitting the CAT proberbly won't help as the baffles are in the silencer units on the mid and rear sections of the exhaust. I was going to say also check the heat sheild is intact and fully bolted up on the downpipe section as this is a common cause of annoying rattles at high rpm.

also check the heat shield at the rear above the silencer rear box as the mounting holes tend to rust through and allow it to flap

u had it up on the ramps to check where its coming from ? if u want to pop to mine thursday i will have a look for u

yes iv had it on ramps and didnt find anything lose
i didnt try it with the car running tho
its in for its mot soon so i will try n get a proper look when its on ramps again
