195/50/15 Goodyear Eagle F1's are the best tyres I have ever had, can't fault them for all round ability and are a bargain from mytryes.

ooh! ooh!

Mytyres has some in!

£60 a corner too, which is about £20 cheaper than they have been recently!

I can't afford them, and you shouldn't buy tyres and store them as they go harder than they should be really, but I'm tempted to get some as backups...

£60 for 185/55/15's fella, 195/50/15's are cheaper. Toyo TR-1's are supposed to be good altho I've heard they are a little bit suspect in the wet...

Despite what people say, i think the toyo range are all pretty damn good for the money, ive used t1-s t1-r and now the px4 range, all grip like mad, personally i think the t1-r's are the best of the bunch, am yet to try the eagle f1's i havent heard a bad thing tho! might consider a set of parada spec2's tho

I use eagle f1 gsd3 on my mi16 are brilliant, especially in the wet. I paid £170 for 4, but that was trade. The current tread pattern is discontinued, s they have now bought out an asimetrico pattern. When i got mine there were still over 100 in stock, around a month ago. From what ive heard the new pattern is even better.

Ive had all the following:-

GS-d3's and proxes - 195/45/15's
Proxes gs-d3'sand - 195/45/15 + 185/50/15

IMO opinion, proxes grip better when dry, A LOT BETTER, but last like 3 weeks, wear rate terrible

For all round situations though GS-D3's, i.e wet, dry, comfort

IMO TI-S Proxes were properly SHIT in 185/55/15.

No bite on turn in in the dry as they just roll over onto the sidewalls :? and wet grip was utterly shocking  Fine if you're feeding the power in gently but make any sudden moves (like trying to emergency stop or steer round something while trying to avoid an accident) and you might as well be on slicks...

They snap away when they reach their limit in the wet and don't start gripping gradually like F1s do, they're just grip/no grip with no in-between.

F1s are 100000000 times better in the GSD-2 185/55/15 size!

that was 195/50/15 4 tyres, was going to get them from mytyres but worked out dearer after factoring in fitting costs.

IME the PE2 are nowhere near as good as the F1s.

If I was looking again I'd get some of the new assymmetric F1s if they stock them in 195/50
