That's a lot to ask for one that won't start, especially if he's been working on it to try and fix it for 3 months.

maybe he's not the best at wiring or something majorly is wrong (ie ecu fault or suchlike) and he's not telling all!

The adverts down now, was it a Mk1 or Mk2 clio? How much was he after for it?

It was a MkII and he was looking for ballpark £10k. A tad high IMO but overall not a bad price for a factory produced track car as they've got some serious equipment on them but it wasn't running (at the time) due to a supposed "electrical fault".

Was it a yellow one based in scotland by any chance?

A guy came along to the cliosport RR day with a yellow clio cup but it wouldn't start for him so he couldn't put it on the RR and I believe he was still having some problems trying to get it started later on. If it was the guy seemed like a nice enough bloke and it was running perfectly before whatever the problem was for it starting.

I honestly didn't notice his location... but it was a yellow one on black wheels and looked sexual. If I had £10k to spend on a toy car that would be high on the list.

Yeah sounds like the same one I saw - and I have to admit that it looked awesome in the metal (ever for a mk2  ).
