Not quite AFAIK. Think I was given one once by ECP and the garage couldn't get it to fit, despite it being very similar. Was more a problem with the pulley arrangment than the pump.

I've got a 172 pump on my mk1 ancillary brackets (although I'm using an F4R)

i had a good look at the mk1 and mk2 pumps and they certainly do seem to look identical and the 172 pump fits perfectly.

I am having a slight problem with the aux belt jumping over 1 tooth towards the engine, but not sure if its the PAS pump causing the problem

I'm *fairly* sure mate

I had the two side by side and they seemed identical... they fit in the same, the pipe connections are the same, you can swap the pulleys too (the 172 one is much lighter though!)

only reason I'm still a bit unsure is .... why has no one else done it? :?

Not sure. I can only find the 1.2/1.4 pump listed on their site. That's just shy of £130.
