Hi can anyone tell me if the rear stub axle on a willy 3 is the same part for all williams and 16v models?
Also where can I get it from as the guy at renualt parts desk said I would need new rear beam (£800+) .
Cheers
Steve
Pretty sure the stub axle doesn't come out the rear beam
I practically gave my rear beam away, they aren't an in demand item. surely the likes of mat brown or winston will have a spare one kicking around

I have put a wanted ad up but nobody has replied. The renault pic shows four holes at the side of the stub axle where I belive it is held on with four bolts. I can't find a williams rear beam up hear in Aberdeen, Scotland. I think the 16v is the same but not sure, can't find that either tho.
Pretty sure the 4 holes hold the metal guard for the inside of the rear disc

There was a guy in stonehaven i bought some bits off of who was breaking a 16v.
That was a GOOD while ago but worth a try...head over to http://www.retro-renault.com and pm 'harvcore'.

I'd completely forgotten, sorry mate i'm totally snowed under with uni work and paid work, haven't had chance to get out to the garage, will try to get out and have a look in the next week or two
the 4 bolts hold the carrier plate for the caliper to mount too, the stub itself for the disc/bearing to fit too has a big nut on the back by the looks, never tryed to take one off though!
oh and 16v beam is same as williams

Definately something changed at the rear as well, sure I read it on the tech part on this site (can't access it now) also it comes up on a few other williams sites as rear suspension was different? Or is that the shocks?

just the shocks are different
rear axle and torsion bars are all the same part numbers on dialogys
stupb axle comes out with a blow torch and a big hammer but youll never get another in i did it on my RT and it was a big waste of time and money in the end i payed 15 from the scrappy for half a beam which was easy to fit,
