Just got myself a beast of a Jetwasher, good idea to do the engine bay or not?

I know Danny did when he got his valver but had problems after, but his bay does look mint.

Any opinions?

This is a really gay question. :P

only real men can handle a jet wash!!!!lol

I would either get it steam cleaned or just use a normal hose monkey, but make sure you cover everything up!!!

Think mine was made faster after the jet wash!!!

Hmmm. I'd go steam clean me. Or if you do use the jet wash can you turn the power down?

You deffo want to cover up the dizzy and other electrical shit though.

Better off to have it steam cleaned really, or if you do want to do it yourself, get a good engine cleaner on, brush it all down and rinse of with a garden hose. If you get water in places where water shouldn't be, it can play havock for months!

If you do jet wash it, I'd leave the engine running as you may have trouble starting it afterwards! I jet washed my van engine, and it didn't want to start afterwards. Took ages to start, and when it did, there was a nice big backfire and a cloud of black crap flew out the zorst!

But honestly.
It's causes more hassle than it's worth.
All that oil that has creeped down over the years is protecting parts of the car you can't even see!
The oil leaks were introduced as part of Renaults anti-corrosion warranty.
