I think the Williams rear dampers are manufactured by KYB. Does anybody know the KYB part number? I would like to buy them off the KYB dealers here. Thanks.

I thought the rears were made by decarbon ???

Yes, It was Decarbon rear and KYB front the first time I changed the dampers. But the second time when I swapped them about 2 years ago, I am fairly certain (but could be wrong) I saw KYBs all round. Had thought that Renault had changed supplier for the rear shocks. Don't ever recall seeing Gabriel dampers though. Renault must be multi-sourcing, or more likely lowest quote - highest profit.

So, is Matbrown the guy in the know for these things?

Renault generally buy whatever is cheapest at the time. Ive seen gabrielle and decarbon in renault boxes before.

I can give you the Renault part number but don't think that will be much help to you.
When i get under one of my cars i will try and have a look.

Yeah, am trying to get the OEM's part numbers rather than Renault's part number. Would make it easier for me to buy them straight off Decarbon/KYB dealers than to place special order from Renault.

Problem solved. Internet is such a useful thing. I popped over to KYB france website and found the info for the front and rear shocks.

Also found out that Koni also has rear shocks for Williams too.
