Hi mate, was wondering what dog bone mount you use, and if there are any you can recommend?

Anyone thats packed full of polyurethane sealant.

Mine is actually a Hillpower uprated one that had become worn over 4 years of abuse, so I uprated it again with polyurethane.

All my mounts are now done with this. I reckon its probably the tightest mounted engine in the whole of Clioland.

I rmember being quite pleased with it when I bought it, but to be honest poly's the way to go in the future for me.

Having said that they are a pretty reasonable price from what I remember.

lol.....best way mate is to press the original rubber out, turn it 90 degrees and get it pressed back in, slap a bit of sealant in there as well an save urself 50-60 quid or woteva it is

why reno ever put the rubber in the wrong way round is a fukkin mystery to me

But how much is a reno dog bone mount? For the price of buying a new one, pressing it out, ****ing around, might as well just pay 50 quid for one all ready to go.

dog bone mount is £28 iirc. so still a long way off £50.
The R19 mount is part number r10148 from GSF and cost £9.99. You do need the bracket that holds it to gearbox though, it is the same as the Megane one i THINK. I'll have a better idea after today when mine gets fitted. Gonna sort the dog bone out with some sealent too.

£28 quid plus VAT, plus all the wasted time fixing it, say 2 hours at £10 an hour, petrol to collect it from Renault, plus the time, stuck in traffic on the way, say another £10.

Really worth it.

£28 inclusive from GSF, also, i thought nick hills is £60, plus postage, plus waiting for it to get sent out......**** that. Anyway, i'm sure to some its a bargain, and if i didn't feel confident enough to turn the rubber around and pack it full of sealent, i'd be on the phone to Nick now ordering one.

Seems like a lot of hassel just to save 10 quid or so. Still its your cash mate. But if your going to pack it full of sealant, why buy a new mount?

Might as well just pack an old one.

I always wondered if vulcanising rubber would make a better packing material.

nah i'mm packing my old one, its a=only about 200 miles old. And it's hardly saving £10, more like £30!

Interesting! Packed my old one full of sealent and its now ace, and got my R19 one on, BUT, it didnt fit, so i used a 1.1 night&day one instead which fits much better! Hardly any movement now!
