Can I come with you when you mete out your revenge on the Frenchman? I think his mate is going to get a clubbing.
The cocknosed garlic eating cvnt was definitely taking the piss when he decided on how to route the throttle cable on the RHD versions. 1 spanner job says Haynes. Think I might give them some shit as well!
Undo both ends and withdrawn through the engine bay says Haynes. So I undo both ends. Then pull. I get a few inches and then twang. Twang. Fvckin' bollocks says I.
This is the point in any job you do for the firs time when you realise it isn't going to be a 5min job and that Haynes has fvcked you in the ass again.
Having ripped the heatshield out I find the fvcker's routed through a clamp holding all the ABS lines. Is either end going to go though? Is it bollocks. So I eventually manage to snip one end off and get it out.
Here goes fitting the new one then. Routed through the same way, but not behind this sodding clamp this time, and now I've got to try and get that L-shaped clip through the hole in the bulkhead. Yeah right. After the 10th attempt I could actually see it at the hole. Then it took 2 more minutes to wriggle the bastard through with some long nose pliers. Finally!
Having said that the gromet won't pull through but balls to the gromet, 'cos I'm now full of cuts, scratches and burns off the manifold and block.
