Hi guys,

I have advertised my clio as having and LSD on it, as I was under the impression that the 16v's came with these? Am I right or wrong?

I'm asking as I just got a call about my car and a guy asking if I put it in.

opps. My bad then :(

By the way... £1200 fitted? A nismo 2 way diff that can take copious amounts of power would be about a max of £600. Seems real expensive. (is it because FWD lsd's are harder to implement?)

its because the clio gearboxes have a solid shaft or something so it costs alot more for the actual unit. The new clio boxes dont have this trouble and are about £200 cheaper.

No they aren't standard mate. Gripper LSD's are £800+ for the unit, then gear box needs to be stripped cleaned and rebuilt and crown wheel welded, so cost mounts up! Effective bits of kit tho for big power or track days....mine was rebuilt in 2002 and has been fault free since so are very reliable too...

Cool, thanks for the quick info guys :) Luckily (because of no edit function), I had forgotten to put it in the listing on here!

Considering then that it doesn't have an lsd, I am actually very surprised as I don't seem to suffer very much torque steer at all. In other FWD cars I have owned torque steer can be a nightmare, on this it is hardly there at all :)
