Are you asking what the flow rates are for each injector type? If so both the F7P and F7R jets are around 193cc/min and colour doens't mean a thing... it's the numbers that count ;)

The Megane ones are grey in colour and won't work with the standard 1.8/2.0 16v management. Both me and Stan have found this out the hard way :P

:agree: Colour doesn't mean anything.

The Grey injectors as found on the Megane F7R are 503cc/min? Where'd you get that info from cos that's slightly OTT for the application as they'd be capable of fuelling just over 400bhp!

Greys are used on stage 4 cossies as you said 380/400bhp
porshe 911 3.2 are rated at 232bhp and they run bosch greys
does the megane run bosch injectors?may be siemens or nippon etc but grey in colour.
on google seach just type in "bosch injector flow rates"

Colour generally has nothing to do with it though. OK, it does distiguish the difference beween them when looking at one Ford Engine and comparing it to another Ford engine but on the whole a grey or yellow jet from one make won't necessarily have hte same flow wrate as a grey or yellow jet from say a GM and it's down to the manufacturer of the vehicle not the injector.

My bodied 19 used to run (Over spec'd) 440cc/min Bosch 16Ohm injectors and they were yellow just like the valver/williams units. You really need to check the numbers to find out the flow rate and resistance for that unit. Cossies will only use a low resistance unit where as most modern cars require high resistance units... but I digress now

My car (Williams) doesn't start and I'd like to eliminate component by component and I'd like to know if the car would start on valver innjectors?

Cheers

Don't mean to alarm anyone but the valver injectors have different part numbers to the williams injectors and Stan once mentioned different flow rates

My F7R engine definitly had different injectors to my F7P lump as I had an injector issue with one of the F7R's injectors and was going to use the F7P injector but part numbers and unknown differences made me get them flow tested and repaired. Maybe mine was a freaky egg? :P

as with all cars manufacturers they used to be different but now only supply one part for both cars.
same has happened with oil pumps and loads of other parts too... :D

yup my 16v injectors are different to the willy set, same colour but different shape and different ends, both run fine though

you do all realise Renault change part numbers on things, one part number could easily have changed to another, and they could be the same part

ive seen loads of parts at work which have changed numbers at least 10 times

not renault part number mate, bosch numbetr actually printed on the injectors themselves i'm on about

I think its Renault syndrome, sometimes they fit one part, sometimes they fit another!
