Since quite a few people seem to think the 5 GTT clucth is stonger etc I thought I'd sort it out once anbd for all.

The Valver/Williams and 5GTT clutchs are all the same ones exactly the same size material and part number from Renault.

The only uprated one is the one from the Volvo 1.7 turbo. Its 5mm widder and weighs more.

Stock clucth is fine though unless you abuse them 1/4 at a time.

Don't think anyone ever claimed the 5 GTT was uprated when compared to the 16v/Williams but GSF sell 5 GTT uprated clutch which i presume is just taken from the Volvo Turbo as you said.

But the 16v and williams are definately different:

16v Clutch is : 77 01 466 296 CLUTCH KIT R5 121.72
Williams Clutch : 77 01 467 493 CLUTCH KIT LA 95.76

Nice to see the 2.0 clucth is cheaper though if thats true although there the same engines realy and gearboxes so i cannot see where there different.

That is on non-exchange items as well, so can be had a bit cheaper.
