what does Cat D group mean, does it relate to insurance or taxing???

Cat D on a driving licence in 9 or more passengers if that helps.

^ think thats the one, was looking on autotrader at ford focus RS's (just out of curiosity)- there was one for £12K Cat D listed tho.

Generally stolen recovered vehicles which have had there identity removed and the police are unable to trace it's original identity so issue it with a new one.

Q plates can also be on imports, or kitcars, or hugely mod'd cars made from lots of different components. Basically, if the age cannot be ascertained or it hasn't got a logbook, then it gets a Q plate.

... At least I think that's right. :?

Not sure what the deal is with the new style plates though?
