View Full Version : STEREO CHANGING
GONNA CHANGE STANDARD STEREO TO A JVC MODEL,BEST TO DISONNECT BATTERY 1ST ANY OTHER TIPS ?
should be just plug and play, wouldn't even bother disconnecting the battery i never have
what about cutting a parcel shelf,no power tool !!
i'd maybe suggest a hacksaw blade?
Sharp stanley knife did it fine for me last time.
I'd suggest getting a second parcel shelf in case you screw it up. I'd also suggest you just get decent quality standard fit speakers rather than buy pointless 6*9's and screw your soundstage up too much (not that the original positions are exactly brilliant!).

You can get them made up quite easy with felt cover from any car stereo fitter.

As above, 6x9's = poo.
Get some top quality front components, a sub and amp, and ditch the rears!
I still have some Random RCA cables left in my car if needed ;)

Well i had a jvc head unit knocking about from my ol 1.2 and my missus brought me some 6x9's,so it would be rude not to have them and use them ? my local audio dealer wanted £20 just to cut two holes and you can gather what i said,it started with a f and off
