Honestly very very grateful for your help, i'd be left with an engine on a jack, no driveshafts and no way of getting it moved/fixed!

:-) hey great news about the starter... that will be the hole i spotted missing a bolt..lol
are the gears fixed now ?? (selecta rod etc??)
how did the comparisons go?

yup! a little tweaking with the selector and all is good! Did my old trick, leave box in neutral and get some one to hold lever in neutral, then its just some minor tweaking. That good old trade off between reverse and 5th becomes very annoying though.
Comparisons were good, 2live and i both reckon it will easily see 13's!
