View Full Version : fitted my fk coilovers today having problems

right fitted my fk coilovers today put all on put the wheels on droped the car off the jack and the camber is crazy

took out for a drive and the car doest drive right pulls all over the place is there somthing i have missed

or is it just the camber doing it any help apreciated

there is a guide on here, it is the camber, i had to grind some of the hub away to get the full camber, all gravy now though.

no its fine, i bought camber adjusting bolts, as well, seemed good, i'll see if i can get the link

Yep...as above u have to grind away some of the hub otherwise the strut fouls on it when u try to adjust it to get the correct camber.....time to get the grinder out im afraid! :P

right even though the camber is as straight as it can without getting the grinder out i took the car for another drive

and ever little bump the car pulls all over the place is there anything else wrong or just the camber

well mine is going in for four wheel tracking and camber, because its new suspension, everything will probably be out. so maybe try that go from there.

just the camber and until thats sorted the tracking and castor maybe too.

so you reakon its just the camber then

the steering feels so lose and ever ump the sterring is pulled all over the show

im pretty sure coops runs his with abit of negative camber and has no proplems

Depends what u class a "a little bit" -1 camber would be ok and help the car handle better...but obviously the more there is the more ur tires are going to be eaten up. I'm sure coops has ground his hubs down too though.
