Thought the Supersprint manifold came with downpipe attached?

If its a prowler style manifold like northy's, suggest you speak to him as im pretty sure he had a few probs gettin his fitted.

That sounds about right, so probably missing that extra plate? could really do with a pic to see how it goes.

So yeah you are missing the adjustable flange piece that sits between the downpipe and cat/decat, highlighted in red in the pic.

Easiest way to fit this manifold is with the downpipe detached, not sure it will go in with it attached. Fit the manifold first, the oil up the ends where the downpipe slots over, get under car and push/hammer the downpipe up into its position then bolt it all up. This is how I did mine, went really smoothly.

hmm, i have just bought one of these (£60 8) ) but its JUST the manifold, i guess i can nick the springs from the downpipe at the minute to get it to fit, but my de-cat doesn't have a flange!? Where can i get one from or what do i do?

Steve, that kit in the first pic, where did you get that from?

It came with the manifold mate (brought second hand) I just need the flange part, all the other bits are pretty much easy to come by.

If the flanges are the same as the ones on the end of the cat/de-ca then i can provide you with one, i get them, laser cut out my a metal fabrication comapny, seeing as its on here you can have one for what it costs me, £3 + postage, whihc will be a few quid

Actually looking at it you need the spring plates, i can source these too for you, not cheap, looking at about £50 for a 2.5" one, this consists of the two plates attached to little bits of pipe, basically universal fixings from Jetex

does anyone know if the gasket used on the downpipe is the same as the one being used to meet downpipe to de-cat? If so i reckon you could do away with the flange, just get the gasket to sit in the de-cat, gasket over downpipe, then nut and bolt it up with springs? Any ideas?

Wow thats nothing like mine....i'll get some pictures taken this weekend for you.

Prowler must of revised the design when compaired to supersprint...your exhausts are all 2 piece....mine is a 3 piece (manifold, downpipe & downpipe to cat)

Cheers mate might have to take you up on that, difficult part is finding the "cup" section.

Not sure if its the same size, but you can pick these up at most places. I dont think that would seal very well without the cup section on it TBH.
