engine oil consumption?

How quickly should the williams go through engine oil on average?

I drive very carefully and dont thrash it but i have gone through about a litre of engine oil in about 8 weeks. It's semi synthetic.

Is that normal?

From experience no, but all engines are different, iirc the official line from Renault back in the day was 1 ltr per 1000 miles is normal

Just check its not leaking anywhere or kicking out blue smoke, monitor it see if it keeps doing it

Mine drinks loads when I cane it, and I usually top it up every 2 to 3 weeks, just to keep it at the top :)
