Can't remember how to sort this! COD comes up on stereo

I'm putting my old valver radio into my mums van and I can't remember how you get it back to the digit input display..

It's doing the COD where it just sits there - I think this is usually because the wrong code has been entered too many times?

Yes yes its my own fault I was too lazy to double check the code on the top as I'j just clicked it into place!

Thats what I thought but nothing happens when you do anything at all...

Have you tried all the buttons? Mine isn't in the car at the moment but I seem to remember it was a bit convoluted - like rather than pressing the button 3 on the radio keypad for the code digit 3 you pressed up arrow 3 times or something? Then press another button to move on to the next number? I'll try and find the instruction manual to confirm, but if you press each button in turn you should be able to find if one of them has the behaviour above.
