Heat shield refurb? [Archive]

Is there a way to refurbish the heat shield? As we all know, they can get quite tatty. Mine is okay, but the aluminium foil has split a bit at the top and I want to get it all nice and shiny again too!

How much are new ones? I seem to remember they are a fir bit off Renault.

you can buy aluminium tape to retape the heatshield.

Well, at £42 from Reno, that's not as bad as I thought it would be. Aluminium tape, right, I'll got have a look. Need to give my engine bay a spring clean and heat shield would be a nice spruce up. Cheers.
