On the verge of selling the williams but unsure on how much to put it up for.

Paint is mint, no rust, wheels are also immaculate.

Has 4pot brakes and full s/s magnex exhaust.

The thing is it only has p/sh as the last guy who owned it was a mechanic and I have a few reciepts as he lost the log book.

It has had 5 owners and on 90k.

Do you think 2500 is reasonable?

tbh the amount spent to vehicle value ratio I'd keep it as a 2nd car... that and the fact it's also in stunning looking condition. Keep it imo

it does look mint 8) 8)
put it on pistonheads for 3 or 3 1/2 and hold out if your not in a rush

as jesus said if u can have it as a second its a bit like money in the bank :)

Cheers.

Not sure what to do.

All i want is a nice easy car to drive backwards and forwards to work.

Keeping it as a 2nd car is an option but if i were in that position i would prefer to have one nice new car than run one old and one semi-new.

I have spent a bit on it and what does put me off selling is given the above i do not think i would get much for it which is why im suprised (Wavy) you have posted such a big market value.

I would expect it to sell at £2500 fairly easily. Like most people have said I'd be tempted just to keep it :P

I think you would have lots of interest at 2.5k and will sell very easily if all the bodywork etc is all mint, id probably bite your arm off (always loved the 3) at that price, i think lack of service history isnt such a bad thing as anybody who looks at it will almost certainly know what theyre looking at and its obvious (to me anyway) when a cars been well looked after.

But as said keep it!

So beautiful!

I'd pay 3000 GBP happily for it if I'd like to buy a(n another) Williams.

(Williams in Great Britain are very cheap. A Williams in mint condition is about 4-5000 GBP in Hungary :(. I think if we would live closer I'd have 2 Willis :) )

i agree with wavy i think. there are people who dont come on this forum who would pay in excess of 3k for one - maybe blokes who want to relive their youth - and perhaps had them new. i wud hold out for just over 3 grand. 2500 is too cheap IMO.
Remember you've got a mint williams - they are rare as rocking horse poo. i see loads because I come on here fairly reguarly. But before when I was looking for one I looked on ebay and autotrader - and u dont see many thats for sure! You want an elder, or a boy racer who wont neccessarily live williams'. good luck!

you will get 3k for that mate, dont let it go for less, i wouldn't if mine was that mint!

Cheers for all the positive comments.

May just get a cheapish car to run for a year and see how I live without it before commiting to sell.

Bit of a bump.

But still really considering selling. I have replaced a wheel bearing and getting a new abs ring due to general wear and tear.

So its got 5 or 6 owners cannot remember with 92k now just had full service.

Would sell with plate, 4 pots and s/s exhuast being the only mods.

Seen a few nice looking Williams about but with miles above 100k.

Would want 3k seeing as others are pretty pricey do you think that is achievable?

Deffo try and get £3k for it minimum.....

Robertio
07-03-2008, 22:31
£3k minimum would be fair. I just paid £2.4k for what is proving to be a bit of a shed, doing most of the work myself I'm still looking at about a further £800 (I've already spent £100 on bits this week) to get it immaculate. Would have offered you an insulting 2.6k had I remembered about this thread

Going to sell it in June now.

Have some more accounting exams in June and they are enough work without pissing about so much on the car so will sell after they are done in the beginning of June.

Shame as if you had offered me £2800 a couple of months ago when you bought yours I would have probably actually accepted.

As comments above, I've seen mint valvers sell for over £2K in the past, I would put it up for £3000 min, and see what kind of interest you get.

It's a gorgeous looking car, good luck with the sale.
