I understand an incorrectly routed clutch cable will make the pedal feel stiffer than it should.

But will it cause gear selection problems??? Because im currently finding it very hard to get into most gears..

The cable sits very close to the manifold and i think it have been stretched due to the heat exposure.

Thanks.

does this happen only when running...

either the cable or the clutch plate

as neil says, could be cable stretch or plate

i think its only when running, but i will check tommorow.

As far as i know the clutch is the original (from the williams engine), has done 60k it shouldnt be knackered yet surely!

umm get it sorted asap else you'll be forking out for a new gearbox as well.

Box is pretty shagged anyway, but your right, the syncros are taking a right bashing at the mo because of this problem!
