What plugs are best?

Most people will use 10-40 semi synth oil or 5-40 fully synth. Genuine renault oil filter, sump washer,

NGK are generally regarded as the best, any motorfactors or ebay. check your ht leads, rotor arm and dizzy

Oil: Castrol Edge Sport 10w-60 much better than 10w-40 at high temps.
Plugs: Eyquem FC58LS3 (genuine)

10w40 semi synthetic oil. Bear in mind it takes 6 litres so get 2 tubs-leaves some for topping up too!

Clean and oil air filter.

Fuel filter-replace OE quality one is good enough. Make sure you put it on the right way round!

Oil filter-replace, although everyone is on about using a genuine filter just make sure you use an OE quality one as these are of the same or better quality as the renault genuine filter. You may need a filter claw to undo it if it is tight as there aint much room to get at it up the front of the block. Use a new sump washer on the sump plug to prevent leakage.

Spark plugs- NGK BCP7ET but reduce the plug gaps to 0.8mm if using these.
Or Eyquem FC58LS3 is genuine with gap of 1.2mm
Champion C7BMC again with a gap of 1.2mm.
Run the plugs in by hand then tighten 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn, Do not overtighten them or torque if you have a torque wrench.

On top of this oil all the hinges and locks inckluding bonnet hinges and catch. clean ang grease the batterry terminals, Check and top up the gear oil if it needs it or change it. Takes EP75/80 gear oil. Check handbrake operation and grease cables and adjust. Grease the brake load valve and check it is moving freely in both directions. Check all the wheels for play and noises by giving em a good shake and a spin with car jacked up. Get all the wheels off (including spare and grease the spare wheel securing bolt!) check all your pads and discs thoroughly and bushes, brake lines, suspension struts and springs etc, check all the calipers move freely.

put a small amount of grease around the wheel spigots, this stops the wheel seizing to the hub, if you get a puncture you will be glad you did this! Make sure you tighten the wheels properly torque them if you have a torque wrench.

Finally check and adjust all the tyre pressures, top up water, screenwash, brake fluid and power steering fluids. Remember to put the oil in! Check the dizzy cap and leads and give them a clean with wd40 if you arent replacing them.
Then give the car a wash and a hoover! It will feel like a new car after this and will make you feel like you have done a good job of servicing it!

dave those ngk plugs are not the listed plug, and are also a different heat range aswell

the standard ngk plug is a BKR6EK and as its multi electrode you dont mess with the gap on it

the genuine oil filter id say is better than all others, the filter media inside it has a zig zag pattern increasing surface area

also id go for fully synthetic oil as it will be of a better quality and usually be a 5W so it will be better on cold starts

knowsit - mine's much quicker at quietening down at the top end with 5w40 in it :)
