I have just put my williams into my car and adapted my ph1.5 engine loom to my ph 1 car - i had to add a white wire in the white plug to power the fuel pump.

The car now turns over but does not fire??

Any ideas??

yeah it must be a spark issue. this could be because of a few things either the sensors aren,t picking up the position, ecu not getting spark information or another electrical reason.

how would you advise diagnosing the issue??

need to check voltages and out puts mate...multimeter time..

difficult to explain in type really.

check you have 12 volts at the coil. crank the engine and check output from the tdc sensor.
its need to trigger.also could be bad earths or no earths on the engine as the system needs to earth to be able to spark.
try there.. have you a haynes manual about..
