Not got a "racer"  ,because I do not go for the "roundy ~ round " stuff    No offence to Northy et al   .My forte is building Rally cars   , ~~ as good as you can afford ~~ making 'em nice and presentable  then chucking 'em into the scenery on the events     ~~ Then rebuilding them to start all over again. If you need any help on the rallying scene ~ feel free to get in touch   ~~~ Only been involved in motorsport and particularly rallying for 30ish years

Very interesting thats what im think of doing with a Clio racer (logbooking and doing tarmac rallying). Any advise on what will need doing before i go into the 2008 regs ? What sort of things will need changing adding before i start......

Evogone,
Your best bet is to get an MSA licence ~~ details from their website (below).

You will then get a yearbook, with all the vehicle regulations in it.
To drive on stage rallies you will need to go on an ARDS course,to prove you are fit/able and competant etc.
If you need to chat etc,pm me or you can call for a brew etc.
I am about 5miles from the end of the M65 Colne ( Lancashire)

Had a licence for a whistle a few years ago so its classed as a renewal and no ARDS test.

May well take you up on the offer in the next few weeks.
