Anyone bought Halfrauds headlight 'universal' clio bulbs before? Seems they are not so goddam universal as they dont fit my car.

I have 12v/60/55w in there at the moment. They tell me the 410 model headlight is the right one but it's not, the 410 is a huge bulbous affair of less wattage.

Just get an H4 bulb, go for 80w/100w if you want something brighter

I found a link on another website to a HK based HID supplier - plug and play Hi/Lo H4 HID lights including Ballast packs for £70

I'd be tempted if I hadn't already got some top-notch PIAA 'normal' bulbs that cost me a fortune!

I have bought some stuff from this HK site before, but not HIDs. They've been pretty reliable so far. Free shipping. btw.

But for 60/55w H4 lamps, I highly recommend the Philips X-treme. Regular yellow-tint, but very bright. Bit expensive though.

I'm running PIAA Extreme White Plus H4 (Anti-vibration version as that's what was on offer lol) - very good and would recommend them to anyone.

The HK HID kits that I've been reading about seem to be alright - on a celica forum quite a few people have bought them and found them to be a piss-easy plug and play conversion that seems to be fine quality-wise! I might get some when the PIAAs die, but they've done well so far :)

I think HID-Direct are doing a 50 watt super-bright Hi-Lo H4 conversion now as well for about £130 - that's also tempting!
