hey guys. Right my clutch has begun 2 make a whirring noise when it is released. But once i push the clutch in it goes away. Any ideas? If so. How easy of a repair job is it? Cheers guys n girls and all the best for new year! 8)
Will be release bearing, may as well swap clutch
Get it done soonish, drove a punto for 1-2 weeks once it has started making the noise, and by end clutch release plate had about 2 springy things left and it had damaged input shaft

great :( i've just had the engine and box out a few weeks back. is this an easy job to do? or does the box have to come out again
Its the bit that goes on the end of the release fork, so box has to come out
With a view to what crossers said i'd monitor it and see if it gets any worse before ripping the box off again

i'd leave it for now, jay s had this same problem, and his clutch lasted about 8 months
