i did mine today... i took off my bonet as it literally takes 2 mins, even on your own..... then you can either get your hand in between the headlight and the rad and take it off, or like i did, slip your filter socket around the filter and use a socket extension to gently undo it.. mine came off nice and easy.. although it is a little hard to not get oil spilling from it even when the system is otherwise drained...

iv got one of those removal tools, is rmoving the bonnet neccessary, will t make a big difference

you dont need too but its much easier with it off, nothing to be daunted about in all honesty, its just 4 nuts and is easy to remove and easy to install on your own... without it means you can get directly infront of it and it also gives more light, but its a personal choice

i normally put my arm in the gap between alternator and rad, just enough room to get it out lol as said taking the bonnet off does make it easier although it isnt needed!

my extension on my socket as i have a socket filter removal tool, wouldnt fit without the bonnet removed and as i say, it made it much easier to work on and gave better lighting...

sweet, ill give it a go. needs a good service. as a quick further question, will draining he charcoal canister make much of a difference?

ive been told i shud tho lunner, its pissing about black shit now and again, well i assume thats what its coming from. seems to be front drivers sidecorner underneath bumper, coming from the shit guard.
