Iv had problems with my williams lacking power, i have checked that the car has a jc5 gearbox and have just replaced the ecu, the car still didnt run any better!
today i carried out a compression test and i got the following readings;
cylinder 1) 10 bar on the first stroke, which increased to 11 and a half on successive strokes.
cylinder 2) same as above
cylinder 3) same as above
Cylinder 4 ) 8 bar on first stroke increasing to 12 on successive strokes
added a small amount of oil and got this reading for all four cylinders;
all cylinders ) 8 bar first stroke increased to 14 bar
spark plugs were pretty black on the tips and oily, does this sound like a worn engine or could there be another explanation?? any help would be appreciated?
