What are your thoughts on phase 1 & 2 seats, dials (Speedo & oil cluster, clock, heater controls), wing mirrors, boot strip, grill, bump strips, rear lights & other.

I have a dilemma. My Clio is a phase 1 and the drivers side seat has a small rip in it, I don't mind the phase 1 interior and iirc it is also lighter  and holds you in your place better than the williams type phase 2 seats. Someone told me the interior on a phase 1 looks like something from a hospital  I even have the orange dials, clock, heater controls, boot strip, grill and rear lights all phase 1. Should I leave this as the retro classic style Clio or update

Winston please don't be mad, I will NEVER phase 2 my rear lights

ph1 externally (inc grille)

but I do prefer the ph2 seats - personally I'm keeping my ph1s though for proper retro :p

Pick and mix :D

Ph2 seats rule... Lower rider height adjust lol

Grills and strips are for loosers ;)

Just changed my ph1 interior for ph2, ph2 seats are defo miles nicer, look better, aren't as tatty and more comfortable.

If you swap your ph1 seats for ph2 make sure you get all the seats rails with the ph2 seats as I bought some from a certain member and didn't get any seat rails and still trying to source some (that was back in summer as well). The ph1 rails will not fit ph2 seats.

thing is the phase 1 seats held me in place round the track and the phase 2 seats seem a little sloppy and let you move abit too much imo but correct me if i'm wrong lads...I need to move away from this brutally stripped, 1 use Clio act, it's upsetting me  There needs to be a balance between abit of weight loss and keeping the decentness of the car intact which imo is the cockpit area. All mod con's are staying on although I was thinking of bucket seats which I still do fancy but for now I want to try ph2 seats ladies and gentlemen....Any idea on the going rate for phase2 seats? What did you pay for yours? :D

Ph2 everything bar the mirrors for me.

Updating bits like the heater controls even make a big difference imo
