Ok, changed the pins on my driver door, and decided to adjust the striker bit on the door pillar...

As I undid it a backing plate inside the door pillar has fallen down into the cavaties of the car. I ripped off, and broke (as usual with shit french car design) parts of the inner trim and find there is a part of the shell where the piece has fallen. Any easy way to get it out?

Nevermind...got the bastard in...removed trim, and seatbelt spring mechanism and put hand inside shell, yoinked it out and refitted it properly.

I used both! Quite tight at first, but I managed to undo them, but they tend to get stuck when you have run out of thread to unscew, so I used open spanners to force them off by hinging the inbetween the pin screw head and actual door hinge.

I also put a trolley jack, very lightly pumped up to take the strain, under the door to stop it moving too much when pin came out, and to help align it to remove the pin.
