was just wondering if the standard suspension and ride height on a williams/valver was lower than the standard suspension on a smaller engined mk1?

Yes, and williams is lower then a valver iirc

Possibly the front is slightly lower due to the wider track and angle it creates on the shock.

springs which lower a valver by 35mm if placed on wide track set up will surely be lower than 35mm due to the reasons given above.
