not mine, but its an adaptor plate which holds it in, and replaces the vents

Same problem as the R5's have.

Do a search of RSC/RTOC as i'm sure you'll find pics where people have swapped the heater and stereo positions round.

do a search on this site mate ?? i would like look at them pics cause im am really looking into having 1 of these headunits but dont want it covering the oil dials up :( im sure some 1s put 1 in the old radio hole buy making a adapter plate to bring the headuint further out so when the screen comes out it doesnt hit the heater controls

ive got a seperate dvd player (12volt) in the glovebox and a 7" screen on the passenger side(stuck to screen with a suction arm). works fine and ive run the sound from the dvd player through the AUX on my headunit....

No, search on http://www.renaultsportsclub.com or http://www.rtoc.org/.

Basically you want any forum thats got some GTT/R5 people as its a common swap on those cars and the dash layout is basically the same as a clio.

Putting it in the std clio stereo hole with an adapter will look odd IMO.

Theres an example of a R5 setup on pistonheads atm - http://petrolheads.com/sales/246814.htm...i.e;

IIRC there was a unit available that went down instead of up with the controls on top (if that makes sense after too much xmas ale :P)

You can just make out in my old starlet where i located the head unit on that as the standard head unit was a small odd size :roll:

Pretty handy place to have a stereo actually.
