Erm, not bad.. get it all sprayed say another 1k to get it a good job..

Gah, I'd love to get a 16v, get it all HillPowered (2.0l, cams etc.. like Mat's Red Valver) and get it Maxi'd.
Wouldn't need to be a good 16v either.. most major panels being changed, engine being changed.. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

I'd so do it......but it'd make my car slower!

then you have to buy a good set of wheels.. thens theres the task of getting it to 260 bhp, then making it rev to 8600

Martin

Anyone know why the maxi kit was created....was it just required to widen the track a lot?

KingStromba

You would have to run 17's and also wider front and rear track to fill the arches.

VIPERONE

no the engine is extensively reworked....

Yea.. which is why I'd probably chicken out and just use standard suspension with a tuned engine..

Like this: http://www.dazjw.eclipse.co.uk/photos/red-valver.jpg

I can't see the 17"'s helping at all in the handling or performance department. Riplash had 17's on his Valver and changing to 15's, made it so much better on normal driving etc..

The kit was designed to fit round a kick ass rally car :D

Why did they use 17s then? They are not cosmetic thats for sure... :?

Probably had a very wide tyre on it?

Because for out-and-out performance and grip, wider and lower profile tyres and better. Plus, the bigger the wheel, the bigger the brakes you can fit behind them

Not so nice to drive on big wheels though, and much less forgiving behaviour, hence why smaller rubber makes for a better road car usually. But that kind of thing isn't really much of an issue for a driving god like Ragnotti, etc!

Just watching the vid..the speed they carry through the corners is amazing, hairpins are awesome with a fly off handbrake too!!
