ive got a slight leak and the offside rear footwell is getting wet and underneath the drivers seat, had a quick look no obvious welding needs doing but cant spot where it is coming from :shock:
has anybody gotany ideas of what it could be??

rusty arches by any chance? could have rotted through and the spray is being fed through the hole? windo seal?

Could even be the sunroof - mine filled up with water once, to the point that you could hear it running down the A-pillar plastics and see it come out on the carpet when you actually drove it... :roll: lol

only rust on arches is early stages of surface rust but its only very light and the sunroof is fine as ive just had it resealed, only other option is window :? cheers

anybody know any way of checking for leaks, easiest way

easy way of checking the arches is to pull of the interior side panel trim and see if there are holes, you will also be able to see any trace of water tracks on the inside panels if its coming from the window

Heater matrix leaking and only showing dampness in those areas maybe?

Might also be the sill drainage holes are blocked - had this on my old hybrid and could hear water sloshing in the sills - quick jab with a screwdriver to clear dirt from the holes and all the water came pissing out.

looking for source of leak today and found out that the whole of the drivers side footwell is wet :? so think it may be heater matrix :cry:

I thought passenger footwell was the area that got wet with heater matrix leaks?

Yeh in theory only the passenger side should get wet as thats the side where the water hoses are, but i would still investigate fully. Try stripping the interior out and getting someone to hose the car down while you are in it and see if you can spot a leak.

Also try running the engine and heaters with no interior and look for a matrix leak.
