Replaced:

Springs
Shocks

Track rods
Track rod ends
Column welded
Calipers
hoses

What else is worth replacing? Im looking at geting handling back to A1 condition. Anything else that will have worn with the high mileage?

What are bumpstops? How much are they? Where are they? Are they easy to replace?

Same with wheel bearings? Price, and how easy to replace?

Cheers pal.

bumpstops slide over your strut, then spring and the dougnut rubber fits onto of that. Then the strut goes through your wing and then the top mount.

My bumpstops were perrished when i replaced them.

Will the ball joint have worn?

Are they easy to replace?

Winston

How easy to replace the wishbones Winston?

Could i do it?

Would i need to redo the tracking?

Ball joints are hopeless on the Williams. I go through a set every time the car goes on track. Not too much of a problem at £12 a time though.

Are ball joints easy to replace then?

Are there bushes in the track rod ends? Are they worth replacing to renew the handling?

Does anything on the wishbone wear apart from the bushes and balljoint?

Ie if ive already replaced the wishbone bushes, is it worth paying 330 to gsf to get new wishbone with balljoint and bushes, or just buy new balljoints for £10?

Things im thinking of replacing:

Front Wheel bearings
Bump stops
Front springs
Engine mounts
Wishbones / wishbone bushes / ball joints

Garage can do the engine mounts. Any of the other things that i wont be able to do myself?
