now ive been driving it for a few days and am on low feul again i can rly feel the difference in the last 1k RPM espesially 3rd gear! feels alot better then the valver manifold! ALOT!!!!

deffo more power higher RPM ! and i cant notice any difference in the low down tourque compared to the valver manifold! so nothing bad to report on this but it did take all day to fit and modify.

saved 8kg in weight as well!!

Good job mate.

8KG!? Seriously!?

Thats a fair saving!

How did you fit it? Brief breakdown. Much swearing? :D

Im gonna piss on your chips now and say YOU COULD HAVE POLISHED THE ****ER UP WHILST IT WAS OFF!!

LOL! :o

lol polish it up my ass!!!! wats the point it will only go brown again anyway!!! specially at the temps i will have it at! lol if anything i will heat wrap it wen the head it off next year.

breif breakdown... well takign the valver manifld off was a pain in the ass!! no room to undo the bolts so took ages!

then put the manifold and DP on to see wat kinda angle we gta make the decat 2.

then took it to the work shot cut off the sticky out bit of metal and sealed it up, ten cut the flange off the olf decat, welded pipe to that, then made a larger flange to match the megane DP flange. then used a larger bore peice of pipe and cut clots into it then hammered them down to make the drop down to the smaller bore as smooth as possible. smoothed otu all the welds inside it and any sticking out bits of pipe etc. so smooth inside :)

im lovign this manifold tho! deffo can feel a pretty BIG increase in performance in high RPM over the valver manifold tat i felt was restrictive at the high RPM on my hybrid! stil lto do top speed run but im sure it will hit the limiter now instead of stoppign at 6800 rpm

Whats this like in comparison to a willy one or supersprint?

havent used a SS but i the guy who i got the idea off changed his williams manifold for the megane fr7 manifold and said it was quite alow betetr than his williams manifold.

now compared to the valver and the difference in speed i can feel the weight loss + the extra power and tourque in higher RPM deff worth the 50 quid!!! LOL :)

Ideal.. Down my local breakers there a 2.0 16v meg lump for £230, may keep the manilfold off it for my project if its decent.

yeah might as well and sell on the bottom end for like 200 and ure away :)

so what was the fit like to the standard exhaust / cat / decat and did it need altering ?

so what was the fit like to the standard exhaust / cat / decat and did it need altering ?

From looking at it, the custom decat he has had made eliminates fitting problems so any normal valver exhaust system will fit fine.

yup the dacat is made to fit any valver exhaust

Better aren't they! Told ya!

I see you modded the decat instead of the downpipe, there's more than 1 way to skin a cat lol

i like what you have done but a little coloured exhaust wrap would have helped mate.... 8)
