How easy? What tools do i need?

Should i replace top mounts at same time? If so how much are new top mounts?

I got new top mounts... £20 aside for the full top mount kit from reno

easy as fook mate! i didnt even use a spring compressor for mine! i just pressed down on them and tightened the nut! :evil: no need for new topmpunts imo

check to see if ure bump stops are warn aswell as this is the ideal time to replace these... they are cheap aswell i think.

how did you get away with not usin a spring compressor?!
easy! hold the leg between my ankles push down with one hand and undo/ re-do with the other!
all because i couldn't be arsed to go to the shed and get the spring compressors out!

lol i'd not recommend doing it without spring compressors... i dont know how much energy is in a spring when its just on the strut but under compression it would take your head off if something went wrong.
