There are only two variations for firing order in a 4 cylinder 4 stroke in-line engine. In both situation the crankshaft is "planar", the firing angle distance is 180 deg. First variaton: 1-3-4-2 (it 's rife), second: 1-2-4-3. The 1st cylinder is on that side of the engine which conflicts with a flywheel (cam belt side), the 4th is at the flywheel side.
