Is by any chance the hub and wheel bearing on the clio 1.8 16v the same as the 5gt tubo? bit of a long shot i know but im to tight to buy a wheel bearing and ive got a spare hub for the 5

Much easier just banging another hub on for £12 than faffing about with pressing the old bearing out etc plus a new bearing will cost around that plus the cost of having to get it pressed in/out. Half the time the hub will be shafted from the old bearing anyway.

no... bearings fail.. if you put on a 2nd hand one it will fail in much less time than a new one would.

Failed bearings dont damage hubs, thats a load of bollox

This is serious fools economy.

My garage will do a pair of bearings for £10 cash for for a tank of fuel you can change them both and know you wont ever need to do it again!

they can damage hubs if they spin due to failing or poor workmanship due to incorrect fitting.
