Its either charcoal canister, or there is a little motor thingy that has a pipe that goes to charcoal canister....one of the two

yeah, theres a little air pump thats part of vac circulation system for the canister located just next to the pas resevoir, can see it if you take the pas res out and look under the top overhang of the wing panel. the connection to the loom there goes to that

He's not! The petrol vapour is taken out of the fuel tank and stored in the charcoal cannister and later when the engine runs is drawn into the intake manifold to burn off the harmful toxins. I've not come across other cars with this emission reducing feature, but it may be common?
