Just about to finish putting in a williams engine in my 16v tomorrow.
Ive been told that it will run, although underfuel on the 16v ecu (phase1), and am waiting on a chip from Gunner.

Thing is, i have a trackday next thursday, ive pm'd Gunner to see if the chip will be here in time, but i presume he is busy as he hasn't been on.

Question is....will the Willy engine last a track day on a 16v ecu, i know it wont perform as well, but whats the chances of it being so lean that it goes bang?

Thanks..

as far as i,m aware it will be safe enough just not at its peak.

personally i wouldnt track it, there is no way you would manage to hold back and nurse it on a track, not worth the risk

No, i certainly wouldnt be holding back.

Ok, one says it should be ok, one says not lol.

Can the air/fuel ratio be adjusted then?
Ive no idea, have always been into rs turbo's and cosworths before the clio, and to do that on them was easier than making a cup of tea??
