Hi guys :)

Much like there is the software called VAG-COM for VW's/Audi etc, can you get a cable and software for renault clio's (to read fault codes, reset stuff etc)?

Matthew
p.s. Just bought a vag-com cable on ebay to diagnose auto transmission fault with my spare car (mk3 golf 1.8 gl auto), hence why wondering about it for clio's :)

Yup, I see that, but that's a generic setup. Is there a specific setup that has been developed? (i.e. Nissan's Consult, or the VAG-COM stuff by ross-tech?).

For example, rather than just reading and clearing fault codes, the vag-com stuff allows you to setup your alarm, central locking preferences, engine stuff, even airbag preferences (Although not recommended to play with!)).

nothing will work with a Mk1 Clio other whan the equipment that Renault have, such as the XR25 and the Clip system

all the universal ones use OBD II which the Mk1 Clio isnt, its a system unique to itself

garage used one that plugged in to the footwell fusebox somewhere

listed off what was wrong (turned out to be a loose connection on the TPS)
