Waiting my turn at the darford tolls on Saturday and some prat in an arctic ran straight down the side of my williams, only had it 3 months. That's the second one. Anyone know a good WR2 going, any history on the CIIORW plated one on ebay? fancy it if this one is terminal but a long way to go before auction ends. It belongs to a member I know that much.

bummer mate! the dartford tolls is a free for all! as far as im aware. C110 RW was owned by clare of cliosport who lived on the outskirts of chelmsford. she had the car repsrayed (means no rust is on the car we hope) she also had the wheels refurbed but after less than a year the cut rims were starting to show signs of corrosion, and she had a brand new BBtuning S/S zorst fitted(says its got a mongoose now? i could be wrong and the plate may have been sold on since she sold it. but as far as im aware she sold it to a bloke from scotland. but all in all when she had the car it was immaculate(still looks it now even. thats if its the same car)

Just spoke to repair co, it's going to cost £2400, but they are going to do it, well pleased, really thought it would be written off.

nice one....will have a totally rust free side

Dont know what panels will be replaced, or if full respray will be done, haven't spoken about that yet. pics don't do justice to the damage caused, but recon rear quarter, door, front wing for sure. there is a kink in the sill that could be pulled. The company is Dovercourt Ford with a 5 year guarantee on the work, if it's not up to standard I will reject it, they are providing a curtesy car for the duration so I will just drive away if needed. As it is a totally rust free already, and very well looked after car I presume that had a bearing on the decision to repair it. Oddly enough the only blemish was on the drivers door. Anyway I'm still well happy and should have it back in 2-3 weeks. :D

Make sure they are able to get the williams graphics as well! I would push for full respray personally.

Cheers Steve, work has started at Dovercourt Ford Witham, should be back on the road in a couple of weeks. Saw estimate for work, £11 short of £2400, still supprised the repair was authorised after the front end shunt I had in June, in my first W2, it was written off and a settlement figure of £1700 was made. The body condition of the 1st wasn't as good as the 2nd but the numbers still don't make sense so I will shut up until I get the car back fully repaired then use the anomoly as a stick to beat the ins co with in the hope it will increase the £1700 offer.

Got willy back mid-day yesterday, good to get back into a proper car after driving around in a ford festa for 3 weeks. All looks good. Changed steering column today cos sloppy steering spoilt the drive, fitted repaired column to test, really sharp again. Well happy again. :D

Not that i mean to dredge up this age old argument, but... I would chip some paint off the wheels to and get them to respray them too.

Mainly because they look fairly wrong.

Cheers Wobba, didn't read it properly, spoke to Northy, told me what & where to look, but couldn't find it. Thought i might have snagged a wire when changeing the column but had it out again and it's not that, although I found 2 really bad connections. It wasn't them either so I recon the system is just about at the end of its life.
