Clio_16v was on the phase 1s. Yours is a phase 1.5 when they switched to having just Clio on the tail and teh 16v moved to the side repeaters.

Your boot strip was used on non 1.8 16V Mk1 Phase 1 Clios (including Williams) from 1993 until starting of Phase 2 Clio.

The surface of that one is heavily oxidised. Dunno how much a new one is but you can treat the plastic to bring it back to black too Ithink.

my ph1.5 and eternal lifes ph1.5 just had "clio" on the bootstrip

chrome lettering too, not white like ph1

Yep sure does, which I believe is exactly the same as the williams Ph1's.

I want either a french one with 16S written on it, which im sure ive seen on a french valver, i may be wrong.. or following in tradition of the hybrids.. A 1.2 badged strip

I thought about it, but then thought its funnier when they see 2.0 and dont believe it, then you spank them! ;)

My ph1 is chrome lettering. Don't remember no white lettering.

my other ph1 has white lettering (92J) and says 16v on it

It's not white, trust me. It's faded chrome plated plastic. Just like the one I took off, only mine had worn even more and was just black plastic in parts. :lol:

I'm sure the actual mouldings of the lettering are different and that ph1 = white and ph1.5 = chrome :?

different - the white/black looks intentional, not faded

tbh the badges on that bottom boot strip look like there off a ph2 and been stuck on! dont suit it like that imo

prefer the one with 16v
