Gearbox repair kit for Williams box

Hi All

I am trying to get hold of A clio Williams gearbox repair kit which includes all the bearings etc. I have found £192 + VAT is best found for so far does anybody on here know any where can cheaper or any of you guys got discounts that could help me save a few quid. Would be very greatful if somebody can help.

I paid £930 for mine IIRC that was with 175 surcharge

I paid £600 inc VAT for mine last year, but Cliorod no longer works at Kitchens where I got mine but I'm sure you can still negotiate a good price at any dealers if you try hard enough.

I've just had my cup cars box rebuilt (tis a willy box).

He ordered a FULL repair kit (inc bearings syncro's etc) from Renault for me (so it's a gen reno jobby) for £195+VAT and he's local so easy to pick up parts from.

He also got the rebuild done for me at a place just round the corner from him, called CBS, puts a lot of work there way so was a good rate. I was charged 175+VAT for the rebuild. This was for dropping the box off and collecting.

If you want him to do the work getting the box out/in repaired and all sorted obviously he can do this for you as well (being a reno specialist).

The box will be guaranteed for 12 months i think it is, and obviously reno repair kit so should be good as new.

There is also another repair kit renault do, which is just the synchro's and seals. No bearings. Think that works out to be about 60quid + vat.

Apparently the prices have gone up a bit recently. When I enquired last month was looking at 600+VAT including the old unit. That was going through mikey at Rentech who gets a very good discount.

£192 is a good price who gave you that? BTW the one lunner pointed out only includes bearings no synchro's, worth replacing the synchro's if you have the box apart since these are brass and is what wears! I doubt you will get any cheaper than 192 for a full genuine renault repair kit.

The 175 I quoted was just labour costs yeah, tis why I said the kit is 195+vat. So looking at around 435 inc vat for a cheap as you can get using genuine renault parts rebuild. It should be like new after that.

i removed my box and had it done at CTS (gearboxman.co.uk) 340 for a full overhaual after mine was scraping in every gear, i sent the box down from scotland and shipped it back for 60, CTS aranged pick up and delivery
