well well well....what happened to some of you guys, including Winston, Martin and summeh? Didn't see you chaps down there! Was quite a random day with people throwing there car keys at me so I could give it some wadadada bang action down the straight :shock:
JayS ran a 14.1 @ 96mph?, Bish ran a 14.0, Laine's car ran a 14.6 @ 93mph and matty's standard 16v ran a 16.1 :wink:
unfortunitly, I think bish had some more bad luck and his diff decided to snap some teeth from what I heard which cut his runs short god damn diff's suck :roll:
All in all a randomly good day i thought 8)
i was there mate, but dont know any faces so i didnt speak to anyone :( lol

14.117 @ 98.67mph :wink: yeah were was everybody :roll: had an awesome day none the less and beat my previous best of 14.4 :D so im well happy...

Aye thought it was a good day too after my mate had to clean his tyres on his gt4 three times! had a good close one against cliolord in the valver. You were ahead (slightly) all the way up but my time was a thousandth quicker! (damn reaction time!) only managed a 16.0 today and that was against jay i think, no more 15's for me lol
Sorry guys since coming back from hols I ain't been to well, so thought i'd give it a miss, also couldn't get my bottle filled in time. Going to pop along on the 28th instead.

:lol: I thought it was a pretty good day too. Thankfully the weather was good! That jet car was a bit loud though, thought i'd try and be hardcore the first it went down and my ears were ringing for a few hours after!
The 2 main things that stood out for me (apart frome the obvious jet car, fastest road legal car etc) were the RX7 that was crazy fast, what an absolute animal! and the porsche (i think it was a porsche?!) that was a running a procharger. I've never come across one before but the sound was uber cool! 8)
Some good times there....new mods Jay? Good time that....bish is getting there too nearly into the 13s!
Sorry I was a no show... when my alarm went off at 6am I went back to sleep....guess I was'nt as motivated wit no car to run :oops:

saturday was shite was so busy only got 4 runs from 1:30 - 9!!! sunday was good got quite a few runs in there!
best was a 14.0 which im happy with im pretty sure once ive put my new manifold + perspex on i will get 13s :) sooo close. just getting to grips with drivign this machine on the strip as its different to a normal road.
yeah gearbox went bang on the last run iwas gna do vs jay. :( started whining rly rly loud but i did the run still anyway i diddnt realise it was my car LOL 1st seemed shit, 2nd was shit then wuldnt go into 3rd and started maing rly bad noises!!! managed to drive home in 5th gear tho :) killed my clutch tho! but i can pul lawa yin 1st but there a constand realyl loud grinding noise same in 2nd and 4th f**k knows wats broke! and theres a hole in it sumware as was leeking oil wen i got home.
takign my spair valver box to get syncros replaced and then i can wack that on there + gna buy a williams box for a spair this the 5th gearbox ive broke now. lol o well.

Thanks to Gaz for taking my car down the strip, tad dissapointed it only managed a 14.6, need to get it on the RR see what the crack is.

I'm telling ya Laine, get a set of catcams 5502225 cams and pullies from craig and have him put the wild timing's on those badboy's :lol: also get a williams mani and downpipe. Sorted
Summeh, I will be heading down Pod about that time so see you there then? :P

:lol: That clio was completely standard, had cat on, standard system all the way through, standard filter & box. Just wanted to test drive it for matty. Felt like a good car imho!
Daz: yeah its not changed since you last saw it at the hillpower rr day, still running lean aswell lol, thats getting sorted 1st week in november tho...
Martin: nah nothing new mate apart from a new clutch and gearbox, its still running lean above 5k but thats getting sorted. i always knew it had it in it as 95% of the time i hand midge his arse and he does 14.1's aswell :D

no need for him to change his cams imo im running the same set minus headwork, he was running std weight yesterday? get it stripped down to 900kg lower them tyre pressures and pile on the revs and that time will drop i promise you....

Yep seemed to go very well from where i was sat- did you change to 4th at the end as when i did you took off a bit and had quicker terminal speed?

yeah but technically there should be no difference in the performance of regrinds and billets, its just the valve acceleration that differs.
Jay has a full williams engine (so willy head yeah).
Nick timed my pullies up for mid range torque, probably why it feels a tad flat higher up?

Jay your car looked impressive goin down the strip, just a shame i sold my red gtt for a rematch lol
I managed a 16.2 @ 85mph in my standard valver. I know it wouldn't be quick, but wanted a before time and when the turbo kits fitted hopefully it'll shave a few secs off that 8)

was a good day! shame i was so tired and didnt have my car! but i enjoyed myself!
jay when i ran 14.1's over a year ago my car was faster.
i had the 270's in my old hybrid and that didnt sound cammed either, i suspect i had the valver set instead of the williams set, and i expect Laine also has the valver ones.
Im getting my cams timed soon and then ill be at pod :)

There is only one set of "270's" surely that fit both williams and valver?
If not then yeah i guess mine are valver, tis a valver head afterall.

Cam carrier and general setup is identical I would think there are only 1 set of 270's for the F7 series
Cracking pic that last one, wasnt much in those times! I think i have a turd top end as i had one run against an st170 and i was ahead all the way until i put it in 4th and he started gaining a bit, still got a quicker time but it puzzled me!

Hmm wheres that £400 i have laying around, oh thats right it doesnt exist!
sell the pipers for £200 and get them mate, my car is noticably faster with them in and thier not times (pulleys set at 0) and not mapped, faster to the point where every saturday for months jay was beating me by 2-4+ car length's and last time we raced i beat him, not by much (1 car) but i did..
just gather up all your old parts and sell them... ive made over 400 in the last 2 weeks selling stuff that was lying around though i probably do have more than you..
