View Full Version : Woof noise?
on gearchange usually, accompanied with a deep whine when you accelerate in any gear between around 2k and 3k rpm
release bearing?
Release bearing won't cause it to wine on acceleration, just keep driving it till it goes bang, oh and start looking for a replacement box lol
lol, and the box is only 3000 miles old, its a hard life bolted to a turbo engine!
get a 6k sequential shift unit with LSD ;)
Maybe you've got a dog-box
Maybe you've got a dog-box
This is why I don't want to mod my daily!
get a 6k sequential shift unit with LSD ;)
no point as they won,t guarantee it above 250bhp lot of money for a box thats as likely to blow up. need an ex works hewland box.

Mine whines under acceleration from time to time, as coops said aswell between 2-3k. It's not affected by how hard you accelerate either it still whines. It never crossed my mind it could be the gearbox? :? Should i be worried then?
